Making "Adequate Yearly Progress" (AYP) Under the
NO CHILD LEFT BEHIND ACT (NCLB)?
(Print this page out; then follow the directions to find AYP data for your child's school.)New reports from the Education Law Center offer parents a way to learn whether their children's schools are making "Adequate Yearly Progress" toward NCLB's goal of academic proficiency by 2014. 1. Click on the link: www.paayp.com. At the top of this page at "Navigate to District and School Reports".
2. Click on your county or I.U. (Intermediate Unit) number.
3. Click "Go".
4. Click on your district. Under "Choose a School"
5. Click on your child's school.
6. Click on the "AYP Performance Chart"
7. Check:
Show last year's (2006) performance
Show next year's (2008) state targets
8. Click "Submit".

The gray line shows the school's 2007 state target. Did your child's school meet its 2007 AYP target?
The dotted line shows the school's 2008 state target. Is your child's school on track to meet its 2008 AYP target?
What is the school's AYP status level (Met, Making Progress or Warning, Improvement 1 or 2, Corrective Action 1 or 2)? Use the "Achievement Gap Data" form on page 7 to record the results.
